HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. — Centenary University junior Nora Dornich capped off a stellar 2025 campaign by being named to the Atlantic East Women's Lacrosse Second Team All-Conference. The honor comes after Dornich's all-around dominance on the field helped spark a dramatic turnaround for the Cyclones, who improved from a 3-10 record last season to a 6-8 finish this spring.
Dornich was the engine that kept the Cyclones running on both ends of the field. Starting all 14 games, she poured in 25 goals and added an assist, showcasing her ability to produce offensively while maintaining incredible efficiency with a .707 shot-on-goal percentage. Her 5 goals in conference play were critical in some of Centenary's most competitive matchups.
But Dornich's value went far beyond the stat sheet. She forced a team high 35 turnovers, collected 47 ground balls, and secured 26 draw controls — second-best on the squad. Her ability to impact the game across all phases made her one of the most reliable and versatile players in the Atlantic East.
Dornich's standout play was a key factor in Centenary's program-wide resurgence. She wasn't alone, either. Sophomore Dyani Alonso emerged as a difference-maker in the midfield, junior Trista Hough continued to establish herself as one of the team's top scoring threats, and freshman goalkeeper Autumn Thame-Knox showed poise beyond her years as she took over starting duties between the pipes.
With a strong returning core led by Dornich, and rising talent developing in every area of the field, the future looks bright for Centenary women's lacrosse. The 2025 season may have ended just short of postseason play, but it laid the foundation for a program on the rise.
