Hackettstown, NJ – The Centenary women's lacrosse team honored its 3 seniors,
Trista Hough,
Nora Dornich and
Antonia Tucci on Saturday afternoon but came up short against Marymount (Va.), falling 22–2.
Marymount controlled the game from the opening draw, scoring 13 goals in the first quarter and building a 20–0 lead by halftime. The Saints capitalized on strong offensive efficiency and possession, holding a decisive edge in shots (27–5) and draw controls (20–4) while forcing 18 Centenary turnovers.
Despite the deficit, the Cyclones continued to compete throughout the second half. Nora Dornich provided the offensive highlights for Centenary, scoring both goals for the Cyclones. She found the back of the net in the third quarter to get Centenary on the board and added a free-position goal late in the fourth.
Defensively, Matalina Kratzel and Olivia Evans helped lead the effort with multiple ground balls and caused turnovers, while goalkeeper Kylie Trilling recorded three saves in net.
Though the result wasn't what the Cyclones hoped for, the team showed resilience on Senior Day, battling through all four quarters as they recognized their senior class and contributions to the program.
