The Centenary Cyclones endured a challenging afternoon in non-conference play, falling twice to Cedar Crest in a doubleheader that showcased both struggles at the plate and a heartbreaking late-game collapse.

In Game 1, the Cyclones found it difficult to generate offense, managing just three hits across the contest. Alyssa Tronolone accounted for the majority of the production, collecting two of the team's three hits. Despite efforts to spark momentum, Centenary was unable to string together rallies, ultimately falling in a quiet offensive showing.

Game 2 told a very different story, as the Cyclones came out energized and in control for much of the matchup. Centenary built a 4-1 lead behind timely hitting and steady play, appearing poised to split the doubleheader. D'Ani Morales led the charge offensively, going a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate while driving in a run.

Additional contributions came from Julia Sorrentino, Holly Casaliggi, and Ciellesse Cotto, who each helped sustain offensive pressure as the Cyclones maintained their advantage deep into the game.

However, Cedar Crest mounted a late comeback, capitalizing on key opportunities to erase the deficit. The Cyclones were unable to halt the surge, surrendering the lead and ultimately dropping a narrow 5-4 decision in a game that slipped away in the final innings.

Despite the sweep, Game 2 highlighted the Cyclones' potential when their offense clicks and they control the tempo. Centenary will look to build on those positives as they regroup and prepare for their next matchup.
