HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Five wins by fall powered the Centenary University wrestling team to a 47-9 win over Hunter College on Saturday night.

The Cyclones were competing for the first time since Jan. 11 at the Shorty Hitchcock Tournament and at home for the first time since Dec. 8 when they hosted the Bob Quade Cyclone Open.

"I think the guys were hungry after our last dual meet at home (loss to NYU), and they took it a little personal," said head coach John Garriques. "They have been grinding in the practice room and put it together and were performing on all cylinders tonight."

The Cyclones got off to a strong start as junior Dylan Luciano posted a win by fall at 125-pounds. Luciano needed just 1:22 to defeat Diego Perez.

Freshman Ryan Anderson continued his strong rookie campaign with a win by fall at 149-pounds. Anderson took down Jordan Gonzalez in 2:21 to earn his 22nd win of the season.

Sophomore Stanley Wojdylak needed just 45 seconds to secure his win by fall at 157-pounds while senior Alec Donovan picked up his first win of the season by fall in 1:04 at 174-pounds.

Junior Kenny Long picked up the Cyclones' fifth win by fall of the night at 184-pounds. He secured his win in 3:48 over Serjey Thomas.

Sophomore Cameron Bruffy secured a win at 141-pounds with a tech fall (17-1) versus Samuel Michnik.

Senior Jeremy Nurnberger (165-pounds) and sophomore Justin Hopman (197-pounds) both picked up wins by forfeit.

Hunter's two wins on the day came at 133-pounds and 285-pounds.

In exhibition action at 149-pounds, senior Michael Foca recorded a major decision (8-0) versus Elliot Natanov.

The Cyclones are back in action on Tuesday, Feb. 4 when they host King's College at 7 p.m. The Cyclones will honor their four seniors, Foca, Nurnberger, Bobby Demeter and Donovan before the match.
