Christopher and Cope Named First Team All-CSAC

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Centenary University seniors Chloe Christopher and Raeanna Cope were named First Team All-Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) as the league officials announced the end of the year awards on Monday morning.

Christopher and Cope were part of a group of eight Cyclones that were honored after voting was done by the league's head coaches. Sophomore Amanda Lebelt, senior Stephanie Williams and junior Jill Pullis took home Second Team All-CSAC accolades. Freshman Britney Lopez and senior Haley Hobbs were named All-CSAC Honorable Mention while sophomore Saralyn Thunell was named to the CSAC All-Sportsmanship squad.

Christopher took home first team accolades for the second straight year and earned all-conference honors for the third time in her career. She has started all 16 games at forward and leads the team with 38 points on 14 goals and 10 assists. Christopher tied the school record for single-game points (11) and goals (5) in the Cyclones' win over Keystone. She has tallied multiple goals in four games this season. Christopher has two or more assists in three games this season and enters the CSAC Tournament needing three assists to tie the school and CSAC record for career assists. She leads the CSAC in assists and ranks among the top four for goals and points.

Cope was honored by the league for the second straight year after being a second team selection last fall. She has started all 16 games and leads a defensive unit that has posted seven shutouts on the season. Cope and the defense surrendered just four goals total in nine conference games this fall. She has also shown the ability to push up the field as she has eight points on one goal and six assists. Cope had a goal and an assist at Wilson and recorded a pair of assists at Clarks Summit. She currently ranks among the top 10 in the league for assists this season.

Lebelt earned all-conference honors for the second straight season after receiving honor mention accolades as a rookie. The forward has started all 16 games and ranks second on the team with 23 points on 10 goals and three assists. She had a season-best six points in the win at Notre Dame on two goals and two assists. Lebelt was credited with the game-winning goal against Rosemont. She had a five-game point streak earlier this season and enters the CSAC Tournament with points in each of her last two contests.

Williams also earned all-conference honors for the second straight season after being an honorable mention selection last year. The central midfielder has returned from an injury that cost her the final nine games of last season to start all 16 contests this fall. She has tallied a career-best 20 points on eight goals and four assists. She scored the game-winning goals against Wilson and Bryn Athyn and has tallied multiple goals in three games this season. Williams struck for a season-best five points on two goals and one assist against Saint Elizabeth.

Pullis impressed in the midfield in her first season with the Cyclones after transferring from Sussex Community College. She has started all 16 games while tallying 12 points on three goals and six assists. Pullis had her first point as a Cyclone with an assist at Clarks Summit and scored her first goal as a Cyclone in the win over Saint Elizabeth. She enters the CSAC Tournament having recorded a point in eight straight games.

Lopez played a key role on defense for the Cyclones during her rookie campaign. She started all 16 games and helped the defense post seven shutouts. Lopez and the defense surrendered just four goals in nine conference games this fall. She showed an ability to help push the ball up field and took two shots.

Hobbs earned all-conference accolades for the first time in her career after a break through senior season. She started all 16 games at forward and has tallied a career-high 19 points on nine goals and one assist. She recorded her first career hat trick in the win over Rosemont and has scored multiple goals in three games this season. Hobbs was credited with the game-winning goal against Clarks Summit, Saint Elizabeth and Notre Dame. She ranks among the top 10 in the CSAC for goals scored.

Thunell has appeared in five games for the Cyclones this season and scored her first career goal in the win over Clarks Summit.

Christopher, Cope and the rest of the Cyclones are back in action on Wednesday, Nov. 6 when they host Cairn in the CSAC Semifinals at 2 p.m.
