Hackettstown, N.J.: The Centenary University women's soccer team battled hard but ultimately fell 7-3 to Pratt Institute in Atlantic East action on Wednesday afternoon at J.E. Reeves Jr. Field.
The visiting Cannoneers (7-4-2, 3-2-0) took control early, netting two first-half goals before the Cyclones answered back just before halftime. Jenna Magrino put Centenary (4–8–3, 1–4–0) on the board in the 43rd minute, heading home a corner kick from Elizabeth Fogarty to make it 2–1 at the break.
Pratt extended its lead with two quick goals after halftime, but the Cyclones continued to fight. Alissandra Auletta found the back of the net in the 63rd minute off an assist from Liliana Flores, and Flores later scored her team-leading 15th goal of the season in the 73rd minute.
Goalkeeper Kelby Kaiser made 12 saves while facing 45 total shots in the match.
Centenary will return to the pitch on Saturday, October 25th where they will be honoring their seniors in another Atlantic East Conference matchup against Marymount. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
