Gwynedd Valley, Pa. – The Centenary University women's soccer team wrapped up their 2025 season on the road Wednesday night, falling to conference opponent Gwynedd Mercy University by a score of 7-1.
Despite the tough result, the Cyclones found an early highlight just minutes into the match. Senior Lilliana Flores capped off her collegiate career in storybook fashion, scoring in the 3rd minute tying the game for Centenary early at 1-1. The goal marked a memorable moment for the senior, who made the most of her final appearance in the Cyclone uniform.
Gwynedd Mercy responded with an offensive surge throughout the remainder of the match, ultimately pulling away with six unanswered goals. Centenary continued to battle, with
Jenna Magrino and
Ashley Fogarty each recording shots on goal as the team fought to generate chances in the attacking third.
Though the season didn't conclude the way they hoped, the Cyclones showed resilience and growth throughout the campaign. The veteran squad, guided by strong senior leadership, built a foundation to carry forward into next year.
Centenary closes the season proud of their effort and development, with eyes set on turning their progress into results in 2026.
