Box Score 2 Union, NJ – The Centenary softball team dropped a pair of non-conference games to 24
th ranked Kean University this afternoon. The losses give the Cyclones a 1-13 overall record, while the Cougars improve to 11-4 on the season.
Kean 8, Centenary 0Kean opened the scoring in the third inning scoring three runs and then another five in the fourth for the 8-0 advantage. Cougar pitcher, Courtney Yard kept the Cyclones scoreless as she threw a perfect game striking out nine batters in five innings for the second time in her career.
Kean 10, Centenary 0In game two, Kean amassed a 10-0 lead after a six-run inning in the third followed by four more in the fourth. Despite the shutout, Centenary's
Heather Passaro collected a pair of hits on the day as she went 2-for-3.

Carolyn Clites and
Ashley Eisenstein each added a hit as well.
Centenary pitcher,
Sammie Darling suffered the loss as she threw three innings allowing six hits and striking out one batter, while Kean pitcher, Stephanie Gilbert pitched a complete game shutout allowing five hits and striking out four.
Centenary will begin conference play Monday April 6
th as they host Rosemont College @ 3pm.
