The Centenary University baseball team flexed its offensive muscle in a high-scoring 12-9 win over Fairleigh Dickinson (FDU) in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday afternoon.
The Cyclones racked up 12 hits in the contest, with Myles Castillo, Joseph Frei, Mike DeSena, and Nick Santacross each contributing a pair. The biggest blows came in the third inning, when Dominick Zinna and DeSena launched back-to-back home runs to spark a pivotal rally.
Zinna and Frei led the charge at the plate, each driving in three runs to pace the Centenary offense. The team built a steady lead and held off a late push from FDU to secure the win.
On the mound, Tyler Voltaire earned the victory, tossing four innings and striking out three while keeping the FDU bats in check early.
The win boosts Centenary's momentum heading into the final conference series of the season, as the Cyclones look to keep their bats hot and head into the postseason with some positive momentum.
