HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. — The Centenary University Women's Volleyball team continued their strong late-season push with a dominant showing on Saturday, sweeping both Saint Elizabeth University and Goucher College in straight sets during their home tri-match. The pair of 3-0 victories marked another statement weekend for the Cyclones, who improved their record to 14-11 on the season.
In their opening match against conference foe Saint Elizabeth, the Cyclones came out firing on all cylinders, controlling the pace from start to finish. Junior standout
Poppy Skjonnemand continued her impressive campaign at the net, posting 17 kills to lead the attack. Senior setter
Vanessa Pagano fueled the offense with 24 assists and added a serving clinic with five aces in the 3-0 victory.
The Cyclones carried that momentum into their second match of the day, where they dispatched Goucher College in another convincing 3-0 sweep. The junior captain duo of Skjonnemand and
Jennifer Thistlethwaite took charge, registering 15 and 14 kills, respectively, to overwhelm the Gophers. Pagano once again set the tone, dishing out 30 assists and contributing two service aces.

Rey Bennett was a force in the back row, collecting 25 digs in the second match to anchor Centenary's defense and secure the weekend sweep.
With the pair of wins, the Cyclones move to 14-11 overall, continuing to showcase their balance and chemistry as postseason play approaches. Centenary will look to build on their momentum as they head into the final stretch of conference action.
