The Centenary University Women's Volleyball team came up just short on the road Wednesday night, falling in a hard-fought five-set match to conference rival Immaculata University. The Cyclones battled from start to finish, with set scores of 25-20, 20-25, 25-19, 20-25, and 15-3.
Junior standout 
Poppy Skjonnemand once again led the offensive charge with 14 kills, continuing her dominant stretch of play. Fellow junior and co-captain 
Jennifer Thistlethwaite followed closely behind with 11 kills, while senior 
Cameron Fulcher added 7 of her own in a strong all-around performance.
Senior setter 
Vanessa Pagano orchestrated the offense with 38 assists, keeping the Cyclones in rhythm throughout the match. On the defensive end, freshman 
Rey Bennett anchored the back row with an impressive 22 digs, showcasing her consistency and hustle.
Despite the loss, Centenary showed resilience and fight against a tough conference opponent, pushing the Mighty Macs to the limit before falling in the decisive fifth set.
The Cyclones will look to bounce back this Saturday at 1 p.m., when they return home to face Neumann University in another key conference matchup.
