Scranton, Pa. The Centenary University women's volleyball team fell in straight sets, 3-0 (25-22, 25-17, 25-19), to Marywood University in Atlantic East Conference play Wednesday evening. 

The Cyclones (14–14, 2–4 AEC) battled throughout a tightly contested opening set that featured seven ties before the Pacers (23–4, 4–2 AEC) pulled away late to take the frame. Marywood carried that momentum into the next two sets to secure the sweep.

Junior Jennifer Thistlethwaite led Centenary with 10 kills and 11 points while adding 11 digs for a double-double performance. Junior Poppy Skjonnemand contributed 8 kills and 10 digs, and Gabriella Miller chipped in with 4 kills and an ace. Senior setter Vanessa Pagano paced the offense with 24 assists, while libero Rey Bennett anchored the defense with a team high 19 digs and three service aces.

Defensively, Ava Estrada and Cameron Fulcher each recorded a block assist as the Cyclones totaled 51 digs on the night.

The Cyclones will look to bounce back when they return to the court for on Saturday for their regular season finale at home at 1pm.
