Softball Advances To Atlantic East Championship

Hackettstown, NJ: The Clones advance to the Atlantic East Conference Championship Series as they defeated the Cavaliers of Cabrini in a must win game. After falling in game one by a score of 8-2, the Cyclones bounced back and won game two 4-1 to extend their season.

Game One

Getting the start in the circle would be Senior pitcher Julia Campen. Campen would give up eleven hits and seven runs (five earned) in her six innings of work. Pitching in relief would be Senior Kelly Ann Earrusso as she would close out game one with only giving up one run on one hit. At the plate, the Clones bats would start out quiet as they did not have a hit in four innings. That would change when pinch hitter Madison Passanante would hit a single down the left field line. This would strike a rally as the Clones scored their only two runs on four hits.
Game Two

In a must win game, the Clones looked to their ace pitcher to get the win. Jaelynn Miller would give up just one run on three hits. Miller would pick up her twenty-second win on the season tying her for the most wins in the country. After being down 1-0 in the first inning, the Clones would bounce back in the third inning when Miller doubles down the right field line, scoring both Jessica Burlew and Maggie Lenahan. The Cyclones would score a total of four runs on eight hits.
