Softball Splits Against Delaware Valley

Doylestown, PA: The Cyclones took on the Aggies of Delaware Valley on the road. The Clones split on the day winning game one by a score of 10-5, and falling game two, 6-3.

Game One

The Cyclones offense swung the bat well batting .406 as a team after batting thirteen of thirty-two.Three different Cyclones recorded  multiple hits throughout game one. The Cyclones batted in all ten of their runs and struckout just twice. In the circle for the Cyclones was Atlantic East Pitcher of the week, Jaelynn Miller who threw five and two-thirds in route to her fourteenth win of the season. Miller allowed four hits, struck out four batters, and allowed just one earned run. Julia Campen would close out the game. Game Two

After a dominant game at the plate, the Cyclones struggled a bit at the plate recording just five base hits in the game. As a team, the Cyclones batted in two of their three runs coming off of a two run blast from Jaelynn Miller. Starting the second game for the Clones was Senior, Julia Campen. Campen tossed four and one-third innings, allowing seven hits and three earned runs. Kelly Ann Earrusso closed out the game for the Cyclones allowing just three hits and zero earned runs. Up Next

The Cyclones will travel to Marymount as they look to remain in first place in the Atlantic East, as they sit just a few weeks away from the playoffs.
