HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. - The 2021-22 school year provided plenty of exciting moments on the court/field/mat for the Centenary University Athletics Department.
Over the next several weeks CentenaryCyclones.com will be looking back on the top 10 as voted on by members of the athletic department staff.
Today the Top 10 reaches number 10 where fans find a tie between two moments. A strong outing from a men's lacrosse defender and an overtime road win for men's basketball check in at number 10.

Top 10 Moments from 2021-22 – No. 10
- Festa Makes a Big Defensive Stand Against No. 12 Cabrini: Senior defender Christopher Festa knew he faced a tough task when the men's lacrosse team took on No. 12 Cabrini on March 30. Festa responded in a big way with a career-high six caused turnovers in the contest. Â
Festa's six caused turnovers are tied for third in single-game history at Centenary and the most by a Cyclone since Kyle Purcell had six in 2018.

- Overtime is Our Time: The Centenary men's basketball team found themselves locked in a tough battle when the Cyclones visited Marywood on Feb. 12. Despite shooting 46.7% from the field in the first half, the Cyclones found themselves trailing 38-37 at the break.Â
The second half continued to be a back-and-forth battle. Lay-ups from Billy Veras and Isaac Poueriet gave Centenary a 76-69 lead with 4:21 left in regulation. A 13-2 run gave Marywood an 82-78 lead with 1:33 to go in the game. The Cyclones scored the final five points in regulation, including three from Chris LaBelle to tie the game at 83-83.
In the extra session, Marywood pulled to within one late but Centenary went 3-for-4 from the foul line to close out the 95-94 win. LaBelle led the Cyclones with 38 points and 11 assists while Poueriet added 25 points and 10 rebounds. To read more from that game, click here.
