HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Senior defender
Christopher Festa had a career-high six caused turnovers to lead the Centenary University men's lacrosse team in a loss to No. 12 Cabrini University on Wednesday afternoon.
Festa's six caused turnovers are tied for third in single-game history at Centenary and the most by a Cyclone since
Kyle Purcell had six in 2018.
Cabrini opened up a 19-0 lead at the half and secured a 29-1 victory in the Atlantic East Conference opener for both squads.
Mikey Vanaman led Cabrini with three goals and five assists for eight points while
Dillon McManus contributed three goals and two assists for five points.
John McCormick won 12-of-13 faceoffs and had eight ground balls.
Ronan Bova had the goal for the Cyclones while Festa added seven ground balls to go with his six caused turnovers.
Brendan King started the game and made two saves in the win for Cabrini.
Rob Pensabene made one save in the second while
Hunter Waldron made two saves in the second half.
Travis Austin made seven saves in the loss for the Cyclones.
Centenary returns to action on Saturday, April 2 when it visits Neumann at 12 p.m.
