HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Senior Matt Angelov had a fall at 285-pounds to lead the Centenary University wrestling team to a 49-6 win over Hunter College on Saturday afternoon.

The Cyclones dominated the action on the day as they won nine of the 10 weight classes in the dual match.

Angelov had a big win for Centenary at 285-pounds as he recorded the fall in 2:18 over Issa Kahn.

Senior Cameron Bruffy had a major decision win at 149-pounds as picked up the 15-7 victory versus Jahongir Davronov.

Senior Aidan Fernandez picked up a hard-fought last second victory over Gevorg Arakelov at 184-pounds. The two wrestlers had gone back-and-forth for most of the match as Fernandez recorded an escape just before the third period buzzer sounded for the 6-5 win.

Sophomore Xavier Pena (141-pounds) and sophomore TJ Pawlicki (165-pounds) both earned wins by medical forfeit.

Senior Jacy Jones (133-pounds), freshman Adrian Pietri (157-pounds), senior Haakon Mathewson (174-pounds) and sophomore Keevon Berry (197-pounds) all picked up wins by forfeit in the match.

Hunter's win in the match came at 125-pounds as Diego Perez recorded a forfeit win.

In exhibition action, Jones took down Perez by fall in four minutes. Freshman Aaron Llanas recorded a 4-1 decision over Arakelov.

Centenary is back in action on Tuesday, Jan. 25 when it hosts Scranton at 7 p.m. Prior to the match, the Cyclones will honor their seven seniors – Angelov, Bruffy, Fernandez, Jones, Mathewson, Kevin Mulligan and Justin Hopman.
