2019-20 (Sophomore): Received a medical hardship waiver for the season ... earned the Centenary Excellence in Science award for being one of the top student-athletes in the science program on campus. 

2018-19 (Freshman): Appeared in eight bouts during his rookie campaign ... picked up a win in tournament action by fall. 

At Bangor H.S.: A three year varsity starter for coach Rick Thompson ... two time all-league wrestler ... was a District and Regional place winner ... was a two year varsity starter for the football team .... served as the team captain for both teams.

Personal: Son of Dawn and Randy Mathewson ... has a brother, Austin ... career success is to find success on the mat and earn a degree ... picked Centenary to attend because he had a chance to wrestle for a great program and receive a quality education ... favorite holiday is Thanksgiving ... likes to eat steak ... dream vacation location is the Philippines ... most memorable experience is all the hard practices ... majoring in environmental science.
