Personal: Son of Nelson Fernandez and Tracie Fried ... has two siblings, Ethan and Darian ... life mantra is, "hard work can make up for lack of skill or natural talent" ...  one of his favorite teams is the Pittsburgh Steelers ... career goal is to become a chiropractor ... admits his biggest pet peeve is waking up early ... most memorable moment is when he won the District Championship in his senior year ...  his most memorable experience was even sweeter because his little brother was one of his teammates ... majoring in biology.
