HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. - Entering the final week of the regular season, Centenary University wrestling freshman
Ryan Anderson remains in the national rankings for 149-pounds.
Anderson moved up a spot to No. 7 in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) rankings this week while remaining at No. 8 in the D3wrestle.com rankings.
Anderson sits at 24-3 on the year and 6-2 in dual meet action. Thirteen of his 24 wins have come by fall this season, while he also has two wins by tech fall and three by major decision this season.Â
He won his weight class at the Doug Parker Invitational hosted by Springfield, the Bob Quade Cyclone Open and the Shorty Hitchcock Tournament hosted by Millersville.
Anderson is the only freshman ranked at 149-pounds by the NWCA and one of nine freshmen ranked across all 10 weight classes.Â
In addition to Anderson, a pair of Centenary wrestlers received honorable mention accolades at their respective weight classes by D3wrestle.com.
Senior
Alec Donovan, who is 2-1 at 174-pounds and junior
Kenny Long, who is 15-7 at 184-pounds both earned honorable mention.
Anderson and the rest of the Cyclones wrap up the regular season by visiting Delaware Valley on Thursday and Stevens on Friday.
