HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Centenary University men's lacrosse players
Timothy Kaiser III and
Christopher Festa have been named the team captains for the 2020-21 school year, head coach
Joe Lodato announced.
"Tim and Chris are in their third year of the program and embody the standard we are creating on and off the field," said Lodato. "Despite the challenges our off-season and this fall semester have presented, they are both going above and beyond to ensure we are preparing for our spring season. I'm confident Tim and Chris will help lead the team to a strong season."
Kaiser enters his senior season with the Cyclones. The midfielder has started 15 games for the Cyclones over the last two seasons and tallied 20 goals. He led the team in scoring with seven goals in five games before Covid-19 interrupted the season. Kaiser had five assists as a sophomore and has contributed 31 ground balls and five caused turnovers in the last two years. He is a psychology major from Beachwood, N.J.
Festa has proven to a key contributor on defense for the Cyclones during his first two seasons. The junior enters this year having appeared in 17 games with 16 starts. Festa has 33 ground balls, including a career-best 19 in just six games last year. He also has 19 career caused turnovers, including a season-best 10 last spring. Festa is a biology major from Morganville, N.J.
