HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Centenary University Director of Athletics Daniel Armida has announced the hiring of Jason Marshall as Head Women's Basketball Coach and Alex Idrovo as Head Men's Soccer Coach. The additions mark an exciting new chapter for the Cyclones as both programs welcome accomplished leaders committed to developing student-athletes and building championship-caliber cultures.

Jason Marshall Named Head Women's Basketball Coach

Marshall arrives at Centenary with more than 16 years of collegiate coaching experience and a proven track record of recruiting, player development, and program building.

Most recently, Marshall served on the coaching staff at Binghamton University, beginning his second stint with the Bearcats during the 2025-26 season. He previously coached at Binghamton during the 2013-14 campaign and has held coaching positions at several NCAA institutions throughout his career, helping develop conference championship teams, postseason participants, and numerous all-conference student-athletes.

Known for his energetic coaching style and ability to build meaningful relationships with players, Marshall has established himself as a respected recruiter and mentor while emphasizing accountability, player development, and academic success.

Alex Idrovo Named Head Men's Soccer Coach

Idrovo begins his first season leading the Cyclones after spending the past two years coaching at Cedar Stars Academy Monmouth, where he helped develop aspiring collegiate and professional players through technical instruction, tactical development, and competitive training.

His coaching philosophy centers on developing student-athletes both on and off the field while fostering a culture built on discipline, accountability, hard work, and excellence.

"I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and excited to begin this new chapter," said Idrovo. "I want to thank everyone who has supported me throughout my coaching journey and helped me reach this point. I'm looking forward to building something special at Centenary University, developing student-athletes both on and off the field, and creating a culture built on hard work, discipline, accountability, and success. Idrovo's playing career includes experience at several elite levels of the game. He developed at both Gotschee Academy and Cedar Stars Academy before competing collegiately at Bloomfield College, Kean University, and Drew University. Along the way, he gained experience competing in NCAA Division II and Division III while developing as a leader on and off the field.

He also trained professionally with Club Sport Boys of Peru's First Division and Greenville Triumph SC of USL League One, experiences that shaped his understanding of elite player development and the professionalism required to compete at the highest levels of the sport.
