Jason Marshall begins his first season as the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Centenary University in 2026-27, bringing more than 16 years of collegiate coaching experience and a proven track record of developing student-athletes at both the NCAA Division I and Division III levels.
Marshall arrives in Hackettstown after his second stint serving on the Bighamton University Staff. Additionally, he served as the head coach at York College from 2023-25, where he helped revitalize the Cardinals program while mentoring one of the most accomplished players in school history. Under his leadership, Alicia Gumbs earned multiple CUNYAC Player of the Week honors, All-Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Honorable Mention recognition, surpassed the 1,000-point milestone, and finished her career among the top ten scorers in York College history.
Prior to York College, Marshall built an impressive résumé as an assistant coach at several respected collegiate programs, including Saint Peter's University (2022-23), Ramapo College (2021-22), Central Connecticut State University (2014-21), Binghamton University (2013-14), and Army (2008-13).
Throughout his Division I coaching career, Marshall played an integral role in the development of numerous standout student-athletes, including 12 All-Conference selections, eight All-Rookie Team honorees, multiple All-Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) award recipients, and three Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year winners. His teams also produced a Conference Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and Rookie of the Year.
A 2008 graduate of Ramapo College, Marshall was a two-time team captain for the Roadrunners and helped lead the program to two New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championships and NCAA Division III Tournament appearances in 2005 and 2007. During his playing career, Ramapo advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2007 and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2005.
