The Centenary University baseball team celebrated Senior Day in style, erupting for a 21-9 victory over John Jay College in a high-powered offensive showcase.
Before first pitch, the Cyclones honored their seniors in a pregame ceremony, recognizing their contributions to the program. That energy carried directly into the game, as Centenary's lineup delivered one of its most explosive performances of the season, piling up 18 hits and 21 runs.
Leading the charge was
Cole Schulberg, who turned in a monster performance at the plate. Schulberg went a perfect 3-for-3, highlighted by a double and a grand slam home run. He drove in an incredible seven runs, anchoring the Cyclones' offensive onslaught from start to finish.
Dominick Chiego continued his torrid stretch at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a triple and consistently putting pressure on the John Jay defense.
Blake Heitzman added to the fireworks with a 2-for-4 performance, driving in four runs in a key middle-of-the-order role.
The Cyclones' depth was on full display as well.
Derek DePace went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, while
Chris Clark contributed a 2-for-4 day with three RBIs, helping to keep the offense rolling throughout the afternoon.
Centenary jumped on John Jay and never let up, stringing together timely hits and capitalizing on scoring opportunities in nearly every inning. The offensive explosion provided more than enough support as the Cyclones battled to the decisive win.
The victory served as a fitting conclusion to Senior Day, combining a heartfelt pregame celebration with a dominant team performance that highlighted the program's talent and camaraderie.
