Hackettstown, NJ: The Centenary University Women's basketball team hosted the Marymount Saints in a tightly contested Atlantic East Conference. Both teams battled throughout, but the Saints secured the win with a strong fourth quarter that pushed them past the Cyclones by a 50–45 margin.
Centenary jumped out to an early lead, scoring 14 points in the first quarter compared to Marymount's 10. However, Marymount responded in the second period to stay within striking distance. Centenary maintained a slim edge heading into the second half, but the Saints made key defensive stops and timely baskets in the final frame to take control of the game.
Junior Vatijah Davis led the Cyclones effort with a team-high 20 points with 14 rebounds, shooting efficiently and contributing across the stat sheet. Jasmine Sampong added 7 points, and the Cyclones' bench also chipped in scoring, but Centenary struggled to find consistent offense against Marymount's pressure defense.
Despite the loss, Centenary battled hard in front of the home crowd, showcasing effort on the boards and strong defensive energy. The Cyclones now look ahead to their upcoming Atlantic East conference games as they aim to climb the standings.
