IMMACULATA, Pa. — The Centenary University women's basketball team saw its postseason run come to an end Wednesday evening, falling to top-seeded Immaculata, 68–59, in the Atlantic East Conference semifinals at Alumnae Hall. The Cyclones conclude their season at 14-13 overall (6-8 AEC) after competing tough against the conference's top team.
Centenary battled early but faced an uphill climb after Immaculata built a 29-21 halftime lead. The hosts extended their advantage with a strong third quarter, outscoring the Cyclones 24-14 to push the margin into double digits. The Cyclones made a spirited push in the fourth quarter, pouring in 24 points and cutting into the deficit, but the early gap proved too much to overcome.
Vatijah Davis led Centenary with 18 points and a dominant 14 rebounds, recording another double-double while adding four steals and two blocks. Kayla Sampong added 12 points and five rebounds, while Alexa Osafo-Mensah contributed eight points and seven boards. Alexandra Koon provided a spark off the bench with eight points.
Centenary controlled the glass with a 47-36 rebounding edge and generated 18 second-chance points, but struggled from the field, shooting 29.1% (23-79) and 15% (3-20) from three-point range.
Despite the loss, the Cyclones' late-season push and conference tournament appearance highlight a competitive campaign as Centenary closes the 2025-26 season.
