Centenary Baseball dropped its second game of the young season on Saturday, falling to Manhattanville, 9–4, at home.
The Cyclones battled throughout but were unable to overcome a strong offensive showing from Manhattanville, which capitalized on timely hitting to build separation in the middle innings. Centenary showed flashes offensively, but opportunities were limited as the visitors controlled the tempo of the game.
Joseph Frei,
Dylan Pyle,
Dominick Chiego, and
Anthony DiGrande accounted for the Cyclones' offense, combining for the team's four hits on the afternoon. Each delivered solid at-bats, but Centenary struggled to string together rallies against consistent pitching.
Despite the loss, the Cyclones continued to compete defensively and showed resilience late, looking to build momentum as they move forward in the early part of the season.
