The Centenary Cyclones baseball team opened its season at home with an exciting offensive performance against Ramapo College , ultimately falling 10–8 in eight innings despite a late surge at the plate.
The Cyclones' bats were active throughout the afternoon, highlighted by a milestone day from
Dominick Chiego, who went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and three doubles. Chiego's standout performance also included his 100th career hit, providing a memorable moment in the season opener.
Centenary continued to apply pressure offensively as
Andrew Briggs,
Mike DeSena, and
Myles Castillo each added two hits to help fuel the attack. Trailing late, the Cyclones' lineup came alive in the eighth inning, plating four runs as the offense caught fire and threatened a comeback.
Despite the loss, Centenary showed strong offensive promise to open the year, demonstrating resilience and depth at the plate as they look to build momentum moving forward this season.
