Cyclones Knock Off Saint Elizabeth in Atlantic East Action, 77–64

Hackettstown, N.J.: The Centenary University women's basketball team erased a halftime deficit and used a strong second-half performance to earn a 77–64 Atlantic East Confernce victory over Saint Elizabeth University on Wednesday night at the John M. Reeves Student Recreation Center.

The Cyclones trailed at the break after Saint Elizabeth controlled the tempo in the opening half, but Centenary responded coming out of the locker room with increased defensive intensity and improved offensive execution. A decisive third quarter swung momentum in favor of the Cyclones, who outscored the Eagles and took control of the game heading into the final period.

Junior Vatijah Davis powered the comeback with a dominant all-around performance, finishing with 34 points to lead all scorers. Ashanti Dewalt added 13 points, while Alexa Osafo-Mensah contributed 7 as Centenary consistently attacked the basket and capitalized on scoring opportunities in the second half. The Cyclones also received valuable contributions from multiple players to maintain pressure throughout the final 20 minutes.

Centenary continued to build its lead in the fourth quarter, using key defensive stops and efficient scoring to pull away and secure the conference win. With the victory, the Cyclones improve to 10–8 overall and 3–4 in Atlantic East Play as they continue conference competition.
