Brooklyn, N.Y.: The Centenary University men's basketball team picked up an important 67–62 Atlantic East Conference road victory over Pratt Institute on Wednesday night at the ARC. The Cyclones delivered a strong all-around effort and held off a late push by the Cannoneers to secure the conference win.
Centenary set the tone early and remained composed throughout a tightly contested first half, using balanced scoring and solid defense to stay in control. The Cyclones continued to execute on both ends of the floor after the break, responding to Pratt runs with timely baskets and defensive stops to maintain their edge.
Devin Strickland led Centenary with 18 points, providing steady scoring throughout the night. Justin Carbone and Darnelle Forrest and each added 12 points, while Jack Martin chipped in 10 points off the bench. Jasir Lane controlled the glass with 7 rebounds, helping the Cyclones limit second-chance opportunities.
Centenary closed the game at the free-throw line and came up with key defensive possessions in the final minutes to seal the victory. With the win, the Cyclones move to 2–1 in conference and continue to build momentum as Atlantic East Conference play moves forward.
