The Centenary University Cyclones wrapped up a historic 2025 baseball season on Friday with a hard-fought 9-7 loss to Immaculata University in the Atlantic East Conference Tournament elimination game. Despite the early exit, the Cyclones made history by reaching the Atlantic East playoffs for the first time in program history.
Leading the way once again was standout third baseman Dominick Chiego, who continued his impressive campaign by going 2-for-5 with a two-run triple and scoring two runs. Chiego's performance was a bright spot in the high-stakes matchup and capped off a season filled with clutch hitting and defensive leadership.
Seniors Nick Payne and Simeon Reed also contributed with two hits apiece, showcasing the team's offensive depth in a game that remained competitive until the final inning.
Although the season ended in disappointment on the scoreboard, the Cyclones have plenty to celebrate. Veterans like Payne, Jake Keenan, and Zach Gehman have not only led the team on and off the field but have also left their mark in the Centenary record books, etching their names into the program's history.
