- Centenary University Athletics honors student-athletes in Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society at the Athletics End of Year Awards Celebration on Sunday, April 27
th.

Returning and graduating members were recognized along with the new class of inductees. This is the second class of Chi Alpha Sigma inductees under chapter advisor Juliana Belar, Associate Director of Athletics, SWA and Dr. William Carpluk, Faculty Athletic Representative. Chi Alpha Sigma recognizes student-athletes from accredited four-year NCAA, NAIA, NCCAA, and USCAA institutions who excel in both the classroom and in competition.Â

To earn this distinction, student-athletes must meet the following criteria:
- Achieve at least junior academic standing as determined by Centenary University.
- Hold a minimum of a 3.5 cumulative grade point average by the time of selection.
- Be given approval by head coach of their sport.
- Be of exceptional moral character.
