Baseball Falls to Rutgers-Camden in Non-Conference Showdown

Box Score

Centenary Baseball dropped a non-conference contest to Rutgers-Camden on Tuesday under the lights, falling by a score of 10–3. Despite the loss, the Cyclones saw bright spots at the plate, highlighted by Derek DePace's stellar performance.

DePace led the way offensively, going 4-for-4 on the day as he continued his hot streak at the plate. Simeon Reed also chipped in with a solid effort, notching two hits of his own.

Centenary's runs came courtesy of RBIs from Nick Santacross, Ryan Jones, and Joseph Frei, but the offense couldn't keep pace with the Scarlet Raptors, who put up 10 runs behind a consistent attack.

The loss moves the Cyclones to 15-16-1 overall on the season as they look to regroup heading back into meaningful conference play this weekend.

Centenary returns to action later this week, aiming to bounce back and build momentum down the stretch and into the postseason.
