Centenary University baseball put together a dominant performance on Wednesday afternoon, cruising to a 13-2 win over City College of New York (CCNY). The Cyclones exploded for 11 hits and 10 RBIs in the victory, showcasing a balanced offensive attack and solid pitching from start to finish.
Joseph Frei, Myles Castillo, Anthony DiGrande, and Nick Santacross each recorded two hits on the day, fueling Centenary's offensive outburst. The Cyclones took control early and never looked back, steadily adding to their lead through all nine innings.
On the mound, Tyler Voltaire earned the win, tossing four innings while allowing just two runs and striking out one. The bullpen kept things locked down from there, with Will Henderson, Drew Oppenheim, and Jackson Ponzo each contributing a clean inning of relief to close out the game.
With the win, the Cyclones continue to build momentum as they head into the heart of the conference play next week.Â
