Annville, Pa.: The Centenary University women's basketball team fell on the road Saturday afternoon, dropping a 75–36 decision to Lebanon Valley College. The Dutchmen controlled the game from the start, using a dominant second quarter to build a comfortable halftime lead before maintaining their advantage through the second half. Centenary struggled offensively, shooting just 28.6% from the field and going 0-11 from three-point range, while Lebanon Valley capitalized inside and out.
Despite the loss, Vatijah Davis led the Cyclones with 10 points and 7 rebounds, while Sofia Mendez added a strong spark off the bench with 6 points on 3-of-4 shooting. The Cyclones finished with 36 total rebounds and received 17 points from the bench, but were unable to slow a Lebanon Valley offense that scored 50 points in the paint and shot nearly 49 percent from the floor.
Centenary (4–3) will look to regroup as it continues non-conference play next week.
