Centenary Volleyball Earns National Division III Recognition for Serving and Scoring Excellence

The Centenary University women's volleyball team has made its mark on the national stage, earning multiple NCAA Division III rankings for its outstanding serving and scoring performances this season.

The Cyclones' dynamic duo of Jennifer Thistlethwaite and Rey Bennett sit tied at No. 4 in the nation for total aces, each recording an impressive 72 service aces. Their consistency and precision from the service line have been a cornerstone of Centenary's offensive success, creating momentum-shifting runs throughout the season.

As a team, Centenary has established itself as one of the most dominant serving squads in Division III. The Cyclones rank No. 10 nationally in aces per set (3.09) and No. 3 in total aces (297) — a testament to the team's aggressive and disciplined approach from behind the line.

In addition to the serving success, Poppy Skjonnemand has also earned national recognition for her all-around offensive impact. She ranks just shy of the top 10, sitting at No. 11 in Division III for total points (426.5), showcasing her versatility and ability to contribute through both attacking and serving.

These national rankings highlight Centenary's rise as a competitive force in Division III volleyball. The Cyclones' collective effort, marked by sharp serving and relentless energy, continues to set new program standards and draw well-deserved attention on the national stage.
