Cyclones Drop a Tough Battle Against PSU-Abington

Hackettstown, NJ - Centenary battled hard on their home court but ultimately fell 75–61 to Penn State Abington in a matchup highlighted by a historic individual accomplishment. Junior forward Vatijah Davis delivered a dominant performance and reached a major career milestone, becoming the newest member of Centenary's 1,000-point club.

Davis was electric from the opening tip, scoring the Cyclones' first seven points and finishing with a game-high 25 points, 16 rebounds, and three steals.

Centenary started the night strong, winning the first quarter 21–14 behind Davis and Makayla Williams. However, the second quarter proved costly, the Cyclones were held to just four points as Abington surged ahead with a 25-4 frame to take control of the game.

Despite the deficit, Centenary showed resilience. They outscored Abington in the third and remained competitive in the fourth, fueled by second-chance points and interior scoring. Makayla Williams ended with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals, Jasmine Sampong added 7 points, while Ashanti Dewalt provided energy off the bench with 6 points.
