Hackettstown, NJ: The Cyclones split their final series before heading into Atlantic East Action. The Cyclones fell in extra innings during game one by a final score of 8-7, and won game two 5-4. Their record now stands at 6-9.
Game One
In the high scoring game, the offense batted ten of thirty-three, with four runs batted in, three walks, and stole two bases. Starting on the mound in the first game was Junior,
Zach Gehman who found success for a majority of his outing. Gehman struck out eight batters, in his five and two-third innings of work. Behind the pitching staff, the Cyclones defense committed three errors, while recording twenty-four putouts and nine assists.
Game Two
In game two, the Cyclones once again jumped out to an early lead. The Cyclones scored five runs with four being batted in. As a team, the offense recorded only six base hits and three walks as the second game of the day served as a pitching dual. Coming out on top, was Junior pitcher,
Jake Keenan who went on to throw a complete game. Keenan's stat line for the day consisted of holding the Valiants to three hits, four runs scored with only three runs being earned, zero walks, and seven strikeouts while facing twenty-eight batters. Keenan was credited with his second win of the season.
