Chris LaBelle ('21) Named Centenary Men's Basketball Head Coach

Hackettstown, NJ: Coach LaBelle took over the team as the Interim Head Coach, one game in to the start of the 2024 season. LaBelle is an alumni of Centenary University where he earned both his Undergrad (Business Administration) and his Master's (Leadership and Administration). During LaBelle's time at Centenary, he served as a four year member for the Cyclones setting several records and finishing amongst the best in program history. Coach LaBelle was a star player for the Cyclones where he would cement his name in the record books, concluding his career in the top three of several records for CU Men's Basketball. Some of his notable career stats are 1,963 points (2nd All-Time), 190 3-Pointers Made (3rd All-Time), 545 FT Made (1st All-Time), 449 Assists (1st All-Time), and 154 Steals (2nd All-Time). LaBelle was a 3x First Team All-Conference player, 2019-20 CSAC Player of the Year, and the Centenary Athletics Cardy Gemma Award Recipient.

  • Holds five career records and four single season records for the Cyclones
  • As a Junior, LaBelle led all of DIII in free throws made with 217 FTM
  • Pre-Season All-American
