Men's Basketball Winning Streak Halted At Three

Dallas, PA: The Cyclones three game win streak comes to an end following am 89-58 loss to the Cougars of Misericordia. The Clones record now sits at an even 3-3. 

Inside the Box Score

A hot Cyclones offense coming off of a dominant performance over Medgar Evers where the Cyclones recorded season highs, struggled against Misericordia. The Clones went on to shoot just 34.9% from the floor. As a team, the Clones recorded over half of their total points in the paint, scoring a total of thirty-four points down low. A key contributor for the Cyclones offense once again, was the Cyclones bench as they provided the team with thirty-five points. On the defensive side, the Cyclones forced the Cougars to commit twelve turnovers, with seven of them coming by way of steal. The Clones would also add three blocks to their defensive stat line. On the evening, the Cyclones came down with a total of thirty-six rebounds. After taking just one trip to the line in the first half, the Clones would increase their free throw attempts where they knocked down eleven of their fifteen attempts in the second half.

Game Standouts

Kenneth Rankin continues to dominate offensively for the Clones as he recorded double digit points (11 PTS), for the Cyclones offense. Rankin would also conclude the game with two rebounds, one assists, and a team leading two steals.

Off the bench for the Cyclones, was sixth man Naire Preston, who wrapped up ihs twenty minutes of action with ten points. Preston went on to also provide the Clones with two assists, one block, and one steal.

Ryan O'Melia, finished the contest in the top three in scoring for the Cyclones offense. The Graduate Transfer, posted seven points in the contest and paired that with seven rebounds. O'Melia would also be the Cyclones rim protector, leading the game with two blocks.
