Hackettstown, NJ: The Cyclones hosted the Aggies of Delaware Valley for their first home game of the 2024-25 season. The contest came down to the wire as the Cyclones fall to the Aggies in the closing seconds of the game. The final score was 77-75, as the Clones fall to 3-4 on the season.
Inside the Box Score
The Cyclones came out of the gates strong, going on a sixteen to four run to open up the game. The offense would continue to score at will in the first half as they concluded the period with forty-one points while the Clones defense held the Aggies to twenty-seven points. Following the strong start, the Cyclones were unable to hold off Del Val, as the Aggies would slowly inch their way back into the contest. In the closing seconds of the game, the Cyclones would give up a lay up that was heavily contested by a Clones defender.

Sophomore Transfer,
Darnelle Forrest, recorded a career high thirty points in his first start since 11/09 (@FDU). Forrest, was a key contributor tot he Cyclones success on the offensive end throughout the contest. The guard would also add a team best, three steals on the box score.
Kenneth Rankin, once again had success scoring for the Cyclones as he came away from the match-up with eighteen points, while going a perfect four-for-four from the free throw line. Rankin would also post an assist, three rebounds, and two steals on the afternoon.
Off the bench,
Naire Preston continues to dominate recording double digit points for the Clones. Preston recorded ten points, three rebounds, one assist, one block, and one steal.
Dominating the paint for the Cyclones, was transfer
Jasir Lane. The big man, posted a season high two blocks in the contest and also recorded double digit rebounds for the second time this season.
