Patchogue, NY: The Cyclones dominated St. Joe's Long Island by double digits as they improve their record to 2-2 on the season. The final score of the contest was 92-65.

After a slow start to the contest, the Cyclones faced a three point deficit going into halftime. The score after twenty minutes of action was 40-37. Once again, after halftime adjustments from Coach LaBelle and his staff, the Cyclones put up back to back dominant second half performances. The Cyclones outscored the Golden Eagles 55-25 in the final twenty minutes of play. After regaining the lead, the Cyclones went on a 38-14 run as the Cyclones cruised to their second win of the season. The offense would receive large contributions from their role players, as the bench provided forty-nine points. Down low, the Cyclones would score a total of thirty-eight points in the paint. As a team, the Cyclones would have an outstanding night from the floor, shooting 58.7%, and also shooting 56% from behind the arc after a getting a flurry of three pointers to fall.Â
Game Standouts
Once again, dominating off the bench was
Naire Preston, who once again scored in bunches for the Cyclones offense. Preston recorded 25 points, and ended the game with a 77% field goal percentage. Over half of Preston's points came by way of the three ball.
Justin Carbone had a dominant night for the Clones, recording 24 points in the win. Carbone also had an easy time getting shots to land as he posted a 75% field goal percentage on the evening. He would also add two assists, two rebounds, and two blocks to his stat line.
The Atlantic East Leader in points scored & points per game,
Kenneth Rankin, would record eleven points for the Cyclones. Rankin would do an outstanding job of finding the open man, recording a season high, five assists.
Michael Salvatore, provided a spark on both sides of the ball coming off the bench for the Cyclones. Salvatore recorded seven points, six assists, two rebounds, and three steal on the night.Â
The big man down low,
Jasir Lane, once again led the team in rebounds recording a total of eight boards. Lane also went on to record three assists, one block, and one steal.Â
