Men's Basketball Streak Extends As They Roll Past Medgar Evers

Brooklyn, NY: The Clones dominated Medgar Evers for forty minutes of action, as their record improves to 3-2 on the season. Coach LaBelle and the Cyclones have surpassed their win total last season, as they continue to make strides in the right direction.

The road warriors, once again have a strong outing against their opponent as they beat Medgar Evers by thirty-three points. The Clones defense held the Cougars to twenty-five total points in the first half, and scored a total of fifty-one points on the offensive end. In the first half, the Cyclones offense shot 53.85% from the floor, with an impressive 57.14% from behind the arc. The Clones would continue to extend the league in the second half, adding another forty-five points. A key component to the Cyclones success on their current win streak has been the strong contributions from role players. The bench would go on to post a total of forty-three points, featuring six three point shots. Down low, the Cyclones were dominant as they scored a total of forty-eight points in the paint, and fifty-nine total rebounds. The Clones would also do a great job of scoring after forcing a turnover as they scored twenty-three on the night. In transition, the Cyclones scored a total of eighteen points. Game Standouts 

Leading the Cyclones in scoring for the evening, was Devin Strickland. The transfer out of South Brunswick, NJ would score a total of nineteen points, while also recording seven rebounds and three assists. Strickland also shot a 100% from behind the arc, making all three of his 3PT attempts.

Conference leader in points, Kenneth Rankin, once again found himself in double digits as he scored seventeen points in twenty four minutes. Rankin also posted seven rebounds, four assists, and a block.

Michael Salvatore made his first start of the season, where he would record several season highs. In his twenty-five minutes of action, Salvatore scored fifteen points, eight assists, one block and three steals. 

Sixth Man, Naire Preston, continues to provide a spark for the Cyclones coming off the bench. Preston ended the contest with fifteen points, one assists, three rebounds, and one block.

Junior transfer, Justin Carbone, scored double digit points in his third consecutive game for the Cyclones. All twelve of Carbone's points came by way of the three ball, as he wrapped up the game with an 80% 3PT percentage.
