Brotons Leads Women's Lacrosse Against Bryn Athyn

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Sara Brotons had a career-high six caused turnovers to lead the Centenary University women's lacrosse team in a tough loss to Bryn Athyn College in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play Wednesday.

Bryn Athyn scored the game's first five goals en route to a 23-3 win over the Cyclones.

Brotons' six caused turnovers on Wednesday gave her 23 for the season. She moves into a tie for ninth on the single-season caused turnovers list. Brotons is tied with Danielle Bay  and currrent head coach Chelsea Gummerson (2012).

Payton Gormley led the Lions with seven goals and five assists for 12 points while Shea Gormley contributed seven goals and one assist and pulled down 17 draw controls. Paulina Storck contributed five caused turnovers and seven ground balls.

Zaairah Lamothe, Brooke Bode and Amanda Tietjen each scored a goal for the Cyclones. Bode added two draw controls and three ground balls. Brotons added four ground balls to go with her six caused turnovers.

Tori Titano made four saves to earn the win in goal for the Lions. Jenyfer Pereira started for the Cyclones and made seven saves in the loss. Chloe Neubauer had four saves in relief action.

The Cyclones close out the regular season when they visit Notre Dame (Md.) on Saturday, April 30 at 1 p.m.
