HACKETSTOWN, N.J. – Senior
Taylor Bossert scored a game-high 23 points in a tough back-and-forth game between the Centenary University women's basketball team and Keystone College Monday night. Unfortunately, the back-and-forth scoring affair ended with a tight 74-67 loss for the Cyclones.
The Cyclones and Giants went back-and-forth early on as Bossert broke the tie with a three-pointer at 6:35 to make it an 11-8 game.
Senior
Victoria Jacobs made a jump shot at 3:46, which cut the home team's deficit to one, 16-15.
Keystone closed out the first quarter on a 6-0 run and took a 22-15 lead.

Kaylie Elsbree pulled the Cyclones to within four, 22-18. She knocked down a triple at 7:39.
The Cyclones and Giants continued to battle before a shot from junior
Devin Gibbs in the paint made the score 28-24, with 4:05 to go until the half.
Keystone took a 36-29 lead into halftime.
Keystone pushed its lead to 48-36 with 5:38 showing on the clock.
The Cyclones came alive starting with the next possession. Bossert nailed a triple that started a 14-2 run for the home team, which allowed the Cyclones to tie the game at 50-50 with 1:38 to go in the period. Highlighting that run was Bossert connecting on two three-pointers, Elsbree with a fast break layup and a triple and sophomore
Salma Eddahiri hitting a three-pointer.
Keystone scored five of the final seven points and took a 55-52 lead after three periods of play.
In the fourth quarter, the two teams went back-and-forth for all 10 minutes. Keystone was just able to outscore Centenary 19-15 and secure the 74-67 win.
Centenary shot 36.1% from the field and matched it's season-high with 11 three-pointers made. Keystone shot 45.6% from the floor and was 12-for-16 from the foul line. The Giants held a 40-39 edge in the rebounding battle.
Bossert knocked down a career-high seven three-pointers en route to her 23 points while adding four rebounds, three assists and two steals for the Cyclones. Jacobs led the Cyclones on the boards with nine rebounds and 11 points while Eddahiri had 16 points.
Lee Gordon led Keystone with 19 points.
Centenary is back in action Wednesday on the road at Cabrini at 6 p.m.
