HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Centenary University Director of Athletics
Travis Spencer announced that 101 student-athletes were named Cyclone Athletes with Academic Distinction (CAAD) for their performance in the classroom during the Spring 2021 semester.
To be named a CAAD student-athletes, students need to have a GPA of 3.20 or better for the semester, have taken at least 12 credits and been a member of the team for the entire semester.
The 101 student-athletes came from 12 teams. The baseball team led the way with 23 honorees while men's soccer had 12 players selected. On the female side, softball led the way with 15 honorees while women's soccer had 11 players selected.
"I extremely proud of the effort by this group of student-athletes," said Spencer. "With the return of some sports this spring and limited practice squads to train, it took a lot of focus from everyone to stay the course in the classroom. We had another outstanding academic semester throughout the department and we will continue to sure make our student-athletes are leading in the classroom. Congratulations to all the C.A.A.D members! "
