Golf In Third Place After Day One of CSAC Tournament

TELFORD, Pa. – The Centenary University golf team shot a 375 on day one of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championship and stands in third place after day one of the tournament.

Rosemont, the defending CSAC Champion, shot a team best 319 on day one to claim the top spot. Cairn was in second place after posting a 355 and then the Cyclones to round out the top three.

Centenary sophomore Jerome Beyer Jr. carded an 80 on day one and was tied for third in the individual standings. Beyer Jr. is four shots back of tournament leader, Stephen Vye of Rosemont and just one shot back of Rosemont's Michael Lange, who sits in second place.

Senior Tyler Bowman is 12th for the Cyclones as he shot a 91 while sophomore Jonathan Westfall posted a 97 to sit in 15th place.

Senior Chris Cameron is tied for 24th after day one as he carded a 107 while junior Nick Rothrock shot a 111 and is 30th.

Day two of the CSAC Championship will get underway on Saturday, April 27 at 1 p.m. It will be a shotgun start with the Cyclones teeing off on the sixth through 10th tees.
