BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – Junior
Jerome Beyer Jr. shot a career-low 73 to lead the Centenary University men's golf team at the New Jersey Collegiate Cup on Thursday afternoon.
The New Jersey Collegiate Cup was played at Forest Hill Field Club in Bloomfield, New Jersey. The Cyclones competed against squads from Rutgers-Camden, Drew, William Paterson, Stevens and New Jersey City.
Beyer Jr. shot a 73 on the par 71 course and finished second behind individual champion,
Sean Sigall of Rutgers-Camden. Sigall shot a 72 on the day to just edge Beyer Jr.
Junior
Jonathan Westfall shot an 84 and finished tied for 17th while junior
Tom Parry carded a 116 and was 28th.
As a team the Cyclones finished sixth in the event which was won by Rutgers-Camden.
The Cyclones will be back in action in the spring season.
