EWING, N.J. – Senior Etiini Udott proved why he is the top wrestler in the nation at 197-pounds on Friday night against No. 13 The College of New Jersey. Udott needed just 48 seconds to record the fall but the Lions earned the 28-12 victory over the Cyclones.

Udott, who held the top spots in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) and D3wrestle.com rankings, was one of three Cyclones to earn a win against the Lions.

The other Centenary victories belonged to senior Christopher Muce at 157-pounds and redshirt junior Alec Donovan at 165-pounds.

Udott's fall was his team-leading seventh of the season and came against Matthew Cornely of the Lions. He improves to 16-3 on the year and 8-1 in dual meets.

Muce, who is listed as a contender by D3wrestle.com, picked up his team-leading 18th win of the season with a 19-7 major decision against Matt Surich of TCNJ. It was Muce's second major decision of the season for the Cyclones. He is 18-4 overall and 7-1 in dual meets this season.

Donovan recorded an 11-5 decision over the Lion's John Garda. He improves to 15-5 overall this year and a perfect 5-0 in dual contests.

Senior Jordan Juliano faced a tough task as he faced Dan Kilroy, who was eighth at 174-pounds in the NWCA rankings released this week. Juliano, who was a contender in the latest D3wrestle.com rankings, gave Kilroy a battle but Kilroy was able to edge past the Cyclone for the 5-2 decision.

Freshman Cameron Bruffy took on Robert Dinger at 141-pounds. Dinger, who was an honorable mention selection by D3wrestle.com, fought for the 8-1 decision.

It is a quick turnaround for the Cyclones as they will be back on the mats tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 2 as they travel to Hunter for a 1 p.m. match.
