HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Junior
Renee Hack tied her career-high with 21 saves to lead the Centenary University women's lacrosse team in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) contest against Keystone College on Saturday afternoon.
Keystone jumped out to a 13-0 halftime lead and secured the 20-0 victory over the Cyclones.
Emily Hawkins scored three of the game's first five goals and finished with five goals and an assist in the first 30 minutes of action.
Nina Hodanich contributed three goals and two assists in the first half.
Hodanich and Hawkins each scored twice in the second half as the Giants claimed the victory.
Daphne Leenas made four saves to earn the win in goal for Keystone. For Hack it was the fourth time in her career that she has made 20 or more saves in a game. She now has 392 career stops as a Cyclone.
The Cyclones stayed aggressive throughout the game and recorded eight caused turnovers. Senior
Vivian Richardson had a team-high three caused turnovers in the contest.
Hawkins led Keystone with seven goals and two assists while adding five draw controls. Hodanich finished with five goals, two assists and five draw controls.
Junior
Kristin Karszen had a team-high six ground balls and two draw controls while senior
Erika Bath added two caused turnovers, two ground balls and two draw controls.
The Cyclones are back in action on Tuesday, April 10 as they travel to Neumann for a 4 p.m. game.
